Private schools, like other non-profit organizations, rely on gifts to be able to carry out their missions. Good Shepherd Episcopal School is no exception. We benefit immensely when others are willing to give of their time, talent, and treasure.
Annual gifts are appreciated and welcome any time during the year. We also participate in the Giving Partner Challenge, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The power of matching funds multiplies the gifts we receive through this partnership, thanks to the Patterson Foundation and other philanthropic organizations. The next Giving Challenge is set for May 1 and 2, 2018. We encourage every member or friend of our school community to become involved in this remarkable fundraiser – it can transform our school!
We also welcome the opportunity to explore endowment gifts and planned giving via estates with those who are blessed to be in a position to make larger contributions.
We believe that the school’s Christian tradition teaches a culture of philanthropy. Philanthropic gifts need not be large; they just need to be given with a loving spirit. Almost everyone is in a position to help in some way. It is the power of all gifts – small, large, matching, planned, etc. – which provide the financial leverage for nonprofits to operate. Please contact the Head of School to discuss giving possibilities.
