Good Shepherd Episcopal School exists to help children develop into leading citizens through a college preparatory K-8 program that provides education in mind, body, and spirit in the heart of Punta Gorda.
Although Good Shepherd Episcopal School offers a traditional academic program, it is with 21st Century skills in mind. In our view, 21st Century skills, such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, are the same skillsets that Socrates taught in ancient Athens. Good Shepherd emphasizes music, the outdoors, and hands-on tactile activities. Examples of the latter include gardening, visual arts, string instruments, and laboratory work. In the Episcopal tradition, we embrace faith, tradition, and reason, welcoming students of various faith backgrounds to join in our academic community.
